The mill is a short drive from the beautiful village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie "a medieval jewel above the Lot, elected favorite village of the French". The most beautiful village in France.

There are many outdoor activities nearby including swimming, boating, canoeing, and biking. There are many fine walks, such as along the the Chemin de Halage tow path.

Local attractions such as Peche Merle caves and the Chateau de Cenevieres have fascinated visitors for centuries.

Toulzanie (or La Toulzanie) refers to a picturesque, historic hamlet and area within the Lot Valley in Southwest France, known for its stunning limestone cliffs, troglodyte (cave) houses, the Lot River, and famous ancient properties offering rustic charm, river access, outdoor activities, and proximity to villages like Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.
